Why choose a kids sun hat with a neck flap?
Choosing a kids sun hat can be tough, trying to work out what is best for your child.
When I carried out the original market research for the hats and I spoke to lots and lots of parents it became apparent that a neck flap, a proper working neck flap was a must for many.
It provides extra protection for the neck and ears especially if your little ones hair is fine or short.
It also creates more shade and protection around the face keeping the face cooler on hot days.
When I say proper working neck flap, I mean one that actually does what it’s supposed to do which is; cover the ears, the sides + back of the neck and most importantly stay in place.
Our hats neck flap is shaped to curve over the ears and rounded at the edges for a smarter fit.
The flap is also lined so that it stays in place. So many neck flaps are only one layer thick so offer very little in the way off sun protection
The best bit, the Little Hotdog Watson neck flap can be rolled up and out of the way for days when you just want a cap. It is secured with two velcro tabs that fit discreetly into the design of the hat.
All Little Hotdog Watson sun hats offer UVA and UVB sun protection upto factor 50+
All Little Hotdog Watson Cub sun hat styles have the roll up neck flap.
