I Need This - The Ultimate Guide For Mums to Be
Clemmie Hooper, mum of four little girls and midwife to many, decided to start her blog to share knowledge and wisdom that she learned through her experiences herself but, also delivering babies. Stories about pregnancy, birth and mothering aren’t really expressed straight from the midwifes mouth.
Clemmie gained her qualifications at the University of the West of England in 2006 and started a career in midwifery at Southmead Maternity Unit where her she developed an interest in active labour and water birth.
She moved to London after the birth of her first daughter, and landed herself a job at King’s College Hospital on the labour ward, one of the busiest units in the country. After several years of working on the wards, Clemmie wanted to do more than just support women throughout the act of birth. She is now a brand ambassador for Water Aid and has recently travelled to Madagascar to support the local midwifes.
Her blog gave her inspiration to then write her book ‘How to grow a baby and push it out’ It was published back in February and talks all about the stages of pregnancy but, also the preparation of giving birth, From how to prevent from tearing and what to pack in your labour bag. Clemmie revels all in her new book, click here to go check it out.
