Settling Back to School nerves 📖
It’s that time of year again, our little explorers are heading back to nursery or school. For some of them it’s the first time in a new setting, classroom or their first venture into school altogether - a time full of both excitement, anxiety and emotion (for both the kids and parents).
Here are some ways to settle Back to School nerves:
Practice the Morning Routine 🥞
Pretend it’s a school day: get up, get dressed, have breakfast, and be “out the door” by a set time. Make it playful - set a timer and see if you can beat yesterday’s record.
Walk the School Route 🚶
If possible, practise the journey to school together so the first day feels familiar. Turn it into a treasure hunt - spot five red doors, two cats, and one Little Hotdog Watson hat along the way.
