8 Quick and Easy Kids World Book Day Costumes
Familiar with the panic. It's World Book Day we need a costume!
Rather than purchase something new here's 8 ways to use what you have around the house to make a quick costume and save the planet too.
1. Paper Dolls
Cut out and decorate paper dolls and tie as a necklace around any outfit.
2. Charlottes Web
Hang a spider around your neck, grab a toy pig and some wellies and jeans for a farmer feel.
3. Mr Bump
A blue t-shirt and wrap bandages (or toilet paper) around the forehead and tummy.
4. Matilda
Red ribbon in the hair, carry a book and a glass (jam jar) with a pretend newt in. Cut this out from paper and stick on inside of glass.
5. Billionaire Boy
Black tee and a baseball cap. Add lots of jewellery and some pretend money taped to the hat.
6. Dennis The Menace
Red tee, use black tape to create stripes, black/ dark shorts and eyeliner to draw on black eyebrows. Use card to create a simple crown for the hair or just gel hair up!
7. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Make a giant paper golden ticket. Outfit with scarf hat and a jacket.
8. Max from Where the Wild Things Are
Keep it simple with a white sheet. You don't need to sew some knots or staples will work just as well.
